I HAVE just paid out my month’s council tax. More than £200, it has taken all my state pension for the month and a bit extra.
I looked up the ‘rich list’ for Herefordshire Council employees – from the chief executive on £221,000 a year, his deputy on £223,000, down to a post called ‘unknown title’ on £112,500. Who is this unknown who receives so much? Can I have it?
Just where are these council cuts?
Certainly not from the top.
These salaries are obscene for a small, mainly rural county.
How many more have their snouts in our trough?
