IT’S 50 years since I trained as a teacher at the old Training College on College Hill.

A reunion is planned at the college on the weekend of September 7-8 and we are eager to contact as many old students as possible.

For many years there was an Old Students’ Association, but this fell into decline when the college was purchased by the RNIB. I am anxious to know if any such group still exists and if so whom to contact.

In the early 1960s there was a chronic shortage of accommodation and many of us were placed in lodgings in the town. I lodged in Westfaling Street.

Are there any landladies who still have contact with their students? If so, I would love to be able to trace them.
