IN response to Edward G Collier’s disappointment in the 'population of Hereford' who he terms as 'parsimonious' (extreme caution in spending money), I wish to convey how offended I was by his comments. I never pass a charity box by without putting at least £1 in, often more for local charities. I probably donate at least over £100 throughout the year plus purchasing raffle tickets for various charities.
I am sure I am not the only reader who has been offended by these comments.
