AFTER another near miss with a taxi on the Newtown Road roundabout, I must point out that the many motorists who think that being in the right-hand lane when going straight over is the correct way are actually wrong.
If you have an accident doing so, you will be losing your no-claims bonus.
The left lane is for turning left and going straight over. The right lane is for turning right into Widemarsh Street or returning to Edgar Street.

Also roundabouts that are painted on to road surfaces are still roundabouts. You still have to go around them, not over them.
