Clearly someone will be killed

MY business is situated overlooking the junction at Bridge Street/King Street/St Nicholas Street in Hereford. Every weekday, there is either a collision or, at the very best, a near miss between vehicles/ cyclists/pedestrians at this junction. This situation has persisted for many years.

I have reported my concerns regarding the junction to the highways department over a long period of time, and have done so again following yet another collision this morning with the driver of one vehicle having to be taken to hospital. Despite my complaints, and those of other businesses at this junction, the highways department appears to have little or no interest in rectifying the situation.

Previously I was advised that in the eyes of the ‘powers that be’ this junction is perfect with all the relevant traffic signs in place.

Clearly the facts indicate the contrary, and sooner or later someone will be killed or seriously injured.
