A poor advert for our county

IREAD with disgust an article in the Daily Telegraph, previously featured in the Hereford Times, describing Herefordshire Council’s attitude regarding a 76- year-old pensioner.

Ron Padwick, having placed his blue badge permit on his car dashboard the wrong way round, therefore suffered a penalty of £75 when parked in a disabled bay in Leominster.

Herefordshire Council and its parking wardens are the ones the wrong way round with their dogmatic attitudes!

You have only to see the state of the half-empty car parks to realise that members of the public no longer wish to visit Herefordshire’s city and town centres when such attitudes are in place. What an advert for Herefordshire.

Wake up council, before it is too late!

ROGER ALLSEBROOK, Little Birch, Hereford
