AS the mum of Daren Loader, I would firstly like to thank the Hereford Times for how the paper conducted all the publicity surrounding my son. I never once felt like you had intruded on our grief and that meant so much to us.

I am writing today to give the people of Hereford an update on the monies donated to the Daren Loader Memorial Fund.

We have donated money to Mr Ken Hooper, who runs Belmont football team, of which Daren was a keen player during his teenage years and received many medals and trophies.

Also to E2E, which is a scheme called Entry to Employment, which helps young people to gain entry to work.

Daren attended E2E from June 2008 to March 2009. They teach young people life skills, budgeting, interview skills, job searching, food hygiene, basic first aid and a lot more.

I know Daren spoke very highly of both.
