Will the last person switch off the lights

TUESDAY, May 26, saw another accident on Greyfriars Bridge. This time the bridge was blocked for some time, and I do hope that no one was seriously hurt, but it did bring the whole of the south of river to a standstill, and reduced the flow going out of town.

On occasions like this I have to admire our emergency services, ambulances struggling to get emergency cases to hospital, the fire service battling to fires and police, all who work to save and protect us, delivery drivers with vital supplies, buses, taxis all who are trying to give a service to the city.

Our city that has so much to offer, oops sorry, did have so much to offer, but now has nothing, 52 shops closed, no nightlife etc etc.

Then comes the best bit, then we have the muppets (Herefordshire Council) who think the best way to boost the city is to spend £17 million of our money on an office block. Good thinking, muppets.

What about the ring road – you know, the one that goes round the outside of the city. Probably the money should be put to that? Then people might want to come to Hereford again. I think it is time there was a vote of no confidence in our council, or will the last person leaving Hereford please turn the lights out?
