Another 100 houses in Bartestree!
Bartestree is under threat from a further development of 100 houses on the historic parkland off the top of Longworth Lane. This is on top of the 144 new houses already in the pipeline. The total is equal to an increase of about one-third in the size of the village.
This development is opposed by the Parish Council, has been refused by Herefordshire Council and is not included in the draft Neighbourhood Development Plan. The Landowner and developer have chosen to ignore all of this and have taken the refusal to appeal.
A Public Enquiry to finally decide this is being held from May 10-13 and May 17-20 at the offices of HGTA in Holmer Road starting at 10am each day.
Herefordshire Council is on the side of our village and have asked that members of the public show their support by attending some or all of the hearing. You do not have to say or do anything - just be there.
If you can, please come along to the hearing to show your support for the village. The Parish Action Group have organised transport from the Village Hall leaving at 9.30 each morning.
