Syrian refugee
I am a senior citizen and as far as I remember Britain has always welcomed refugees suffering from hardship violence and abuse in their mother country through no fault of their own.
It is so often other governments, politicians' decisions etc etc that have been made which have caused horrendous problems to these displaced people fleeing their homeland to find a safe haven. Imagine if it happened here how we would feel.
As a rich nation we have enough resources to accommodate our own people and others.
