Remove the blinkers...
SO Herefordshire Council want to spend money they don’t have, on smartening up the town. Do they think that it is going to bring people in?
People shop more on-line, and you can shop at supermarkets for just about everything, and park free.
We hear about people not getting out and having enough exercise, and children not playing outside, but if the council would just pull off the blinkers, and cycle or walk along the paths – Great Western Way, and the ones leading to Grafton Lane and Belmont – they would see two areas which could be cleared of dead trees, and brambles.
A decent footpath could be made through the one parallel with the cycle path to Grafton, and a small cycle ride for the younger children around the trees. They might even learn to keep things tidy for nature to flourish.
The wooded area parallel to the Belmont cycle path could be made into a mountain bike area, and I am sure that would get parents out with their children.
If the areas were tidied up maybe the litter-louts would stop dropping rubbish.
