I WAS incensed in High Town, Hereford, to see shops with their doors wide open when the outside temperature was 4-6 degrees F.

When I mentioned this most shop assistants laughed and none closed the door.

Shopkeepers must think that those shopping are unwilling to open a door to enter a shop.

We, the customers, are indirectly paying for all this wasted energy as the goods being sold must be priced to cover the higher-than-necessary energy costs.

Shop owners please close your doors!
