THERE is a refugee crisis in Europe that many in this country feel should be responded to appropriately by our government.
Taking in 20,000 of these desperate people over the next five years is not an adequate response from a 'civilised' country and I call on our local politicians to pressure the government which is failing in its humanitarian duty.
