I CLEANED my house today and I was thinking that I have two bedrooms not in use. How many more rooms/empty houses/flats could be on offer to those desperate refugees?
How many people in Herefordshire could offer a barn, stable etc for temporary accommodation? Surely it would be preferable to sleeping on the streets for those families in need?
If every town and city could offer a home for just 50 families, just think of the impact on the refugee situation.
Why is my government postulating on such an important matter as holding out the hand of friendship and humanity to these poor souls? How many spare rooms are there in Downing Street, I wonder.
Where does the Church stand on this subject? Have I missed an important comment from the bishops or the archbishop?
