I WAS sorry to see that our local pantomime group – the Hereford Amateur Pantomime Society – is in danger of closing. (Financial worries, prompt fears of final curtain call, Hereford Times, July 30).
I’ve always found it to be superior to ‘professional’ ones which take place over Christmas.
The local talent, characters and costumes are a joy to see and offer a wonderful evening’s entertainment.
I would appeal to Hereford Times readers to please keep supporting them and encouraging new budding actors and actresses.
Unfortunately sometimes the music at the Courtyard drowns out the singers, which may be due to the acoustics, but please keep the amateur group going.
This local group also supports local charities.
