WE see reports of many farmers, including those in Herefordshire, suffering low prices for their produce. While they are blaming the supermarkets for this, there is another factor at play which may be just as damaging, and is a direct result of re-electing David Cameron’s government.

Cameron has been at the forefront of picking a geopolitical fight with Russia, and has supported NATO expansion into Eastern Europe following the destruction of democratic Ukraine by a Western-backed coup (funded by $5 billion as revealed by US official Victoria Nuland) resulting in the break-up of that country.

Crimea responded to the fascist-led coup in Kiev by voting overwhelmingly to join the Russian Federation. The Donetsk and Lugansk regions also voted for autonomy, and are now fighting for their freedom.

Cameron was at the forefront of the imposition of hostile economic sanctions on Russia, and Russia understandably retaliated, banning all EU agricultural imports. So all Eastern European produce once destined for Russia, the largest country in the world, is now flooding the European markets, causing a crash in prices paid to farmers.

What percentage of Herefordshire farmers voted Conservative? They are getting what they voted for, sadly.
