I AM a trustee for Joel’s Wish, a charity giving financial support for young adults aged 19-30 with life-limiting cancer in Here- fordshire and Shropshire.
We want to spread the word about the services we provide and encourage people to apply for help.
We appreciate cancer trea- tment and care in Hereford- shire can involve multiple visits to multiple centres which is costly and can mean families being separated at a time when they most need to be together.
To this end, Joel’s Wish exists to provide funds to cover travel-related expenses in relation to treatment and care and can fund overnight accommodation for families when needed.
We also fund laptops and mobile phone expenses to ensure that wherever you are receiving treatment, you have access to the love and support of your family and friends when you most need it.
If anyone would like to apply for funding, it is a confidential, simple and straightforward process.
