ON behalf of the Herefordshire Armed Forces Day Committee I would like to thank everyone who showed their support for the events in the city last Saturday. Particular thanks go to the organisations, charities and schools who had stands in the Shire Hall and especially to the groups who performed on the stage.
The contributions in High Town by the Armed Forces including our reservists, cadets and recruiting teams were excellent and the Royal Artillery Band was enjoyed by the crowds.
Despite the technical problems which grounded the Dakota, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Hurricane gave us an outstanding flypast.
Lastly, the tremendous concert by the Hereford Police Choir provided a memorable end to a good day.
Armed Forces Day next year will be in Ledbury on Saturday, June 25.
