I AM the artist shown painting at Breinton in the Big Picture feature in the Hereford Times on May 21.
The photographer, Stephen Jones, captured me in the process of painting and I thought it would be interesting to give readers the opportunity to see the work.
I had visited this location several times and on that day I was trying to capture the colour and life of the apple blossom.
I enjoy the challenge of painting on site because it really forces me to observe and simplify the complex and ever-changing scene to produce spontaneous works.
It is also a really pleasant way to enjoy a sunny spring day.
I have lived in Hereford for 15 years and have exhibited with the Herefordshire Painting Club which will be exhibiting at Madley Church as part of h.Art week from September 12-20.
