MIGHT I ask whether those who sought election were aware that persons who they employed or enlisted for distribution of their literature appeared to be illiterate, visually impaired or totally lacking in powers of observation?
From the start of the campaigns for the parliamentary and local council elections, I displayed in a window, visible to those approaching my front door, a note requesting “no political literature”.
Despite this, I have accumulated a pile of political literature which has been consigned to my recycling bin.
I do not vote for parties or individuals who display illiteracy or a lack of powers of observation.
