TOWARDS the end of June, my wife and I will be visiting your beautiful part of the country.
My grandfather, Harold Bedward Powell, migrated to Australia in 1910 following two of his brothers. However, five of his siblings stayed in Hereford.
They were Annette (married Thomas Davies), Willie, Eleanor (married John Smith), Florence and Hector.
Hector had two sons: Teddy (a Royal Marine during the Second World War) and David who later worked in a bank in Hereford.
If anyone knows of any of these families we would love to hear from you. I have some lovely old photos I would like to have identified and, of course, if I could meet some relatives, that would be wonderful.
