WITH regards to our national problem of mindless people littering our beautiful countryside, to my mind the problem starts at an early age with bad parenting, where there are no rules laid down on tidiness, manners, pride and self esteem.

It is all very well blaming the council, but for once it is nothing to do with them.

One solution that may help a little is if all the car companies were compelled, by law, to install litter containers in vehicles and also an appropriate notice on the dashboard along the lines of “Do not throw your rubbish out, but use container provided.”
