WHEN S&A Produce Ltd was granted planning permission to erect polytunnels for strawberries at their Brierley site in 2009, there was a key condition included which S&A is now applying to have rescinded.
That condition required all the polytunnels to be removed and the land restored to its former condition by November 8, 2019.
The condition was based on established county policy in the Herefordshire UDP Structure Plan which is still relevant.
That means that the polytunnel operation would become permanent, and if that is so, the camp (to hold 2,000-3,000 workers) would remain with it.
The council must hold to its original decision and refuse these proposed alterations.
