SEVERAL years ago I wrote a letter to the Hereford Times in my despair at the way the country road verges are being used as litter bins.

I try to keep some stretches of roadside clear myself and wondered then if other people would like to join forces in some kind of joint project – maybe once or twice a year. I had no response then, but could the time be right now?

I’m sure we could do something together to improve this increasing blight on our beautiful landscape?
