WE have badgers invading our gardens south of the Wye in Hereford.

I always look forward to the springtime when my flower beds are at their best, but badgers have dug holes all over my garden and eaten my tulip bulbs.

They also dig a foot down to reach the roots of my roses. They are also using my vegetable patch as a toilet (no more vegetables for me!).

I have put down netting, sticks and even a wheelbarrow to protect my plants, but I’ve been told that they are a protected species and we mustn’t touch them, while they are allowed to destroy our gardens.
