ARE you going to take time to vote at the May elections?
The one thing you can be certain of is that the present administration of Herefordshire Council are banking on you not doing so.
Why? Because they are well aware that 58% of the people of Hereford never vote. And they also know that if only a small proportion of that number did vote, their seats would be in jeopardy. Most have been elected on a very small majority.
So if you, like a fast growing number of the public, want desperately to see things change, then you really ought to think about putting your cross on the ballot paper.
It’s like winning the lottery - ‘you’ve got to be in it to win it’.
It’s the one time, and only time, just once in four years that the ordinary person in the street has absolute power over the politicians. When that little cross can make the greatest difference to all our lives.
Don’t be sucked in by those who say, “Why bother? Nothing ever changes.”
You can make things change.
It’s your personal choice who you vote for, but the important thing is that you do vote.
