WITH regard to Paul Broome’s story ‘Council urged to listen to residents’ (November 6), that sounds good, but I suspect it would be a first for Herefordshire Council when it comes to planning.
What a slap in the face it has handed out to all the volunteers working on Neighbourhood Plans.
Local residents have no chance with planning objections when they come up against all the cosy vested interests and plans linked to other projects.
Sometimes county councillors should consider who elected them – certainly not the developers, but people who live in the parishes working on Neighbourhood Plans.
Thank goodness there are some councillors with backbones who feel Neighbourhood Plans should not be overridden – well, at least two in your article.
