THE proposed £25 million bypass will be a waste of money. Surveys have proved the traffic does not pass through, but goes into Hereford.
So the link road will only be pushing one lot of traffic from one road onto another.
Leominster has an even bigger problem. The levels of pollution are far higher than EU regulations at the bottom of Bargates, the lorries are far too big coming around the junction, the queueing traffic jumps the lights and when there is an incident further up Bargates the traffic comes to a standstill.
No -one has the sense not to move off when the lights change and block the whole road so no-one can move.
If Leominster had a bypass we could at least get rid of all the lorries.
I often wonder if those who make these decisions are actually road users.
