IS Herefordshire Council trying to get an award for the least liked council in the country? If so, it's certainly well on the way...
Today was the first of the fortnightly bin collections in Leominster – our bin is already overflowing despite the recycling bin being full, and we have another week to go before the collection of a meagre four bags of rubbish for a fortnight.
What a shambles this is going to turn into. I hope council members are ready for the public outrage when cats, dogs and foxes tear open the bags that won't go into the black wheelie bins.
The pest control department is going to be inundated with calls for rat extermination and the infestations of vermin will have a knock-on effect on the environmental health department.
And for this completely unacceptable quality of service, we pay more council tax than some London boroughs. What a public disgrace.
Herefordshire Council, for the lack of good service in every sector of the county for decade after decade, you should all resign.
ELIZABETH PORTMAN-LEWIS Etnam Street, Leominster
