This area should be a true pedestrian zone
IN recent months I have noticed numerous cars parked in Hereford’s Widemarsh Street between Marks and Spencer and Newmarket Street. It is the same cars every day, despite signs indicating the bays are for loading only or taxis in the evening. No cars are supposed to be there during the day.
I contacted the council who have admitted there is no order in place to enforce this. No tickets have been issued this year.
It appears to be a free parking area for all, when in reality this area should be a true pedestrianised zone during the day to enhance our city.
