AFTER my letter in the Hereford Times (Car parking ticket misery, October 9), I eventually paid the fine I received in Hereford’s Morrisons car park.

It had been issued as I was parked for longer than two hours with my visually impaired wife, who holds a blue badge. We had stayed in the car to read the Sunday papers after shopping.

However, I have now received an email from Parking Eye to say that the charge has been cancelled. No reason was given. I also received a reply from Parking on Private Land Appeals who could not act because I did not have a notification number.

Since then I have received a letter from Morrisons to say that they contacted Parking Eye and cancelled the charge.
