GIVEN the negative press that Herefordshire Council generally receives, I would like to congratulate the authority on the good work being carried out on the county’s roads with Balfour Beatty.

There has been a marked improvement over the past year and I hope this will continue.

May I also make the point that, despite financial constraints, the flowerbeds in High Town have not been neglected and add greatly to the ambience of the city centre.
