I LIVE in the village of Eardisley. I read with much interest the letter from P Johnstone of Staunton-on-Wye (Hereford Times, October 16) regarding the 446 Hereford-Almeley bus service.
May I sincerely thank all concerned at Yeomans for providing our country villages with their excellent service over 36 years. I, and many others, find it extremely sad that our local company has lost the contract, especially after all the years of great service to the country villages of north Herefordshire.
These buses, their helpful drivers and the times which they ran, are very much sadly missed by all concerned.
Best wishes, of course, to First, but why did they have to change the pick-up and set-down times of our 446 service bus? Especially after 36 years and everyone satisfied, too.
