I HAVE had more than my fair share of treatments at the County Hospital in the last four years. Personally, I can’t fault it.
Staff at all levels, doctors, nurses and support staff have all been very good.
There are a few problems with waiting times but that’s everywhere in the NHS.
Take the option of the choose and book system – it works. Let’s not forget we have a rising population, an ageing population and successive governments continue to under-fund the NHS, then carry out totally unnecessary reorganisations that cost millions.
The NHS is under continual threat of privatisation which must be resisted. People before profit every time, but that’s a concept many politicians find hard to grasp.
