IT was good to see the piece and photograph about the recent installation of an outdoor gym at Moor Farm (Residents set to get fit at outdoor gym, Hereford Times, August 28), but as a local warden I was sorry to see that there was no acknowledgement made of the efforts of the Moor Farm Community Association in achieving this.
Their hard work (and they are all volunteers) in co-operation with Hereford Housing, has been vital in getting this already popular and well-used equipment in place.
Residents' groups throughout the city, including Wheeled Sports for Hereford (the skate park), Beaumont Garden Residents' Association and Grandstand Road Residents' Association are working hard to provide better play facilities and other improvements in their local areas and their efforts and commitment should be more widely appreciated.
