I WRITE in response to Lars Carlsson’s letter (Co-operation, co-existence, Letters, August 21) which described his positive experience with a neighbouring farmer who has submitted a plan for development.
Mr Carlsson is a director of a company called Archihaus which submitted a 150-house planning application for Kingstone in 2013.
Permission has not yet been granted and there was and still is much opposition to this housing. Earlier this year there was a survey carried out showing 98% of the village were against the development.
Is this Mr Carlsson’s notion of “the key to a good co-existence?”
There is a huge contrast between the farmer’s attitude towards his neighbours and the attitude shown towards the residents of Kingstone by Mr Carlsson’s company.
