HAS Herefordshire Council really considered the impact of building nearly 200 new homes on a current green field site on the edge of the city off Hampton Park Road?
Ground that will currently allow some penetration of surface water to drain down direct to the water table, or taken up by vegetation will then be turned to tarmac and run off roads which will flow downhill onto Hampton Park Road and exacerbate an already unacceptable situation.
What are the developers planning to do to alleviate this potential problem?
It would be great if they could resolve the current flood situation that already exists in the Hampton Bishop area rather than add to the burden of the local cash strapped council.
As a resident of Rectory Road in Hampton Bishop that has now been cut off from Hereford and Mordiford since last Saturday (February 8), this increased flood risk is a real situation that needs addressing.
