AFTER reading the Hereford Times of October 24, I could not believe the total arrogance of Frank Hooley in his vilification of the people of Kingstone who voted against the council to try to stop the building of 150 new homes in our village.

Number one, Mr Hooley, the field proposed for the development floods and does not drain very well.

Number two, the road structures round our village are terrible, they are narrow and full of potholes, but I suppose the roads would be improved to suit the developers. I propose that with Mr Hooley’s attitude, the developers should rush to downtown Presteigne, at a place near to him, and offer the area to build these houses.

I understand that the houses will go up as our council never listens to ordinary people, and only sees £ signs as a method of fixing everything.

You seem to be an educated individual but please obtain your facts before you accuse the people of my village of being moaners and whiners. And getting to your last insult about long and tedious letters, just what do you think yours was?
