THE Wellworth It! team in Ledbury and their supporters are pulling out all the stops to raise funds for a new play area and play equipment for the Busy Bees pre-school.

Busy Bees are set to move into the old youth centre, next month, when the converted Bye Street building will go under a new name of The Hive, as a community hub and a new base for the pre-school.

Pauline Jones, the manageress of Wellworth It! says the response so far to a fund-raising raffle has been "amazing" and better than expected, and the team are looking forward to announcing the final figures raised in the near future.

On top of this sum, the store will donate a grand sum of £250.

And to cap it all, there will be a cake stall on Good Friday at Wellworth It!, in The Homend, where visitors will be able to purchase homemade cakes for the appeal.

The cakes will all be donated by staff and customers of the store.

A number of local businesses and individuals have donated prizes for the raffle, including Ledbury Fruit and Veg, One Stop, staff at the Spar, Enchant and Allure, Pauline Preedy, Jenny Jordon and Reo, and Georgina Mills.
