THIS year's parking permits for people who live in and around the Malvern Hills are now available from the Malvern Hills Trust.

Residents of the parishes of Malvern, Guarlford, Malvern Wells, West Malvern, Colwall and Mathon, which pay the Malvern Hills Trust levy on the council tax are eligible.

The resident’s pass costs £5.20, and applicants must provide a copy of their current council tax bill and the vehicle registration number.

An annual pass for those who live outside the levy-paying areas can be obtained for £36. A pass for a second vehicle at the same household can be purchased at a reduced rate of £13.

Pay-and-display parking in the trust’s car parks without a pass is £4.20 per day. The contribution made by the public through the purchase of parking passes is an essential source of income that supports the charity’s work caring for the hills and commons.

This support helps the Malvern Hills Trust to protect the ancient archaeology, conserve the habitats and species and keep the Hills open and accessible for all to enjoy.

Passes are available from the trust office at Manor House, Grange Road, Malvern, The Tourist Information Centre in Church Street, Malvern and Colwall Library, Walwyn Road, Colwall.
