ORGANISERS of a open gardens event at Coddington, to raise funds for the restoration of the All Saints Church Organ, are hoping it will hit the right note with visitors.

The event will take place over two days, on Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2, and

gardens which will be open to the public will include The Pound, Cross Farm, Church Farm, Coddington Vineyard, Woofields Farm and The Old Rectory.

The Pound has seen extensive replanting. This garden which was made in 1980 to a design by Jane Fernley-Whittingstall.

The Cross Farm venue is described as "well laid out natural gardening within a farm. Homemade teas will be available.

Coddington Vineyard is a wildlife garden with "wildflowers meadow, pond, stream, woodland, some unusual trees and scrub land, a terrace and herbaceous boarders and a vineyard.

Woofields Farm is described as "a beautiful garden on a working farm" with "an eclectic mixture of planting for colour all year round; gravel garden, vegetables and a fruit garden".

The Old Rectory is described as "a mature garden with, two ponds, a turreted yew hedge and a very old cedar tree".

Some new planting "has added a splash of colour to this natural garden."

The gardens will be open 2pm to 5pm, on both days.
