JEWELLERY with sentimental value to its owner was stolen when a property in Newent was burgled on Thursday.
Between 10.45am and 1.20pm offenders forced entry via a side door to the property at the Crofts.
A quantity of jewellery was stolen including a silver orchid brooch, a necklace and cufflinks.
The victim has been left very upset by this ordeal as the brooch was made by her late daughter.
Officers have issued images of the stolen jewellery in case any members of the public recognise it.
Any witnesses or anyone with information should call 101 and quote incident number 260 of June 1.
