LAND for residential development, already with outline permission for five detached homes, is up for grabs at Bromsberrow Heath.

But residents could end up wondering which county they are in, because the three counties meet at that rural location.

The land is being marketed by property consultant Bruton Knowles and is located four miles south of Ledbury "at the meeting point of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire".

The site at Beach Lane is described as "a flat parcel of agricultural land at the western end of the village".

Robert Anthony from Bruton Knowles’ Gloucester office said an illustrative plan had already been prepared to demonstrate a layout for the development.

He added: "The current scenario consists of one three-bed, two four-bed and two five-bedroom detached homes with large gardens and a shared private drive off the main road through the village, however the developer can add its own mark on the design and layout of the housing.”

Located near Junction 2 of the M50, Bromsberrow Heath is around 19 miles from Cheltenham, 20 from Hereford and 49 miles from Birmingham and has a village shop and post office, garage and small business park.

The primary school is in the neighbouring village of Bromsberrow with a pub at nearby Redmarley.

Robert Anthony added: “Situated at the northern end of the Forest of Dean where it runs into the Malvern Hills, this development was a particular success for Bruton Knowles as we handled the original application and obtained the outline planning permission.

“From the development team’s point of view this represents a unique opportunity to build quality homes in a fantastic rural village location.”

Offers are invited by informal tender by noon on Friday May 5.
