THE county's best food and drink is being celebrated at a Ledbury festival this August.

Nestfest food festival is being held on Saturday, August 20, between 10am and 6pm.

The free event, taking place at The Nest, Little Verzons Farm, near Ledbury, is being held for a second year and features a wonderful range of food and drink, as well as entertainment for all ages.

Among the food produce at the festival will be ice cream, scotch eggs, cider, beer, gin, cheese, coffee, charcuterie, cakes, jams and jellies, meats, sweets, chutneys, fudge, nuts and dressings.

More than 20 producers will be at the event, while children will be entertained by archery, glitter face painting, a bouncy castle, chainsaw sculpting, hand bell ringing and entertainment from Trevor Hill and his amazing animals.

There will also be live music from local bands.

Visitors can also experience the Nest Cafe and Handmade Scotch Egg Company plus Newent Plant Centre, all located on the site.

Rayeesa's Indian Kitchen is offering the opportunity to learn how to make authentic Indian samosa in a pop-up workshop taking place during the festival. Advance booking is required by calling The Nest on 01531 670816 to book. It costs £10 per person to take part.

Entry and parking for Nestfest is all free.
