A LEDBURY-based arts co-op has found itself a new base in the historic heart of the town.
Artistree has just opened the Gallery, on the first floor of the heritage centre in Church Lane.
The first exhibition in the new venue is entitled Artistree In Action, and features paintings ranging from colourful abstracts to seascapes and landscape, photographic exploration of landscape and botanical subjects, a range of ceramic works and lots more.
Paddy Hannigan of Artistree said: "Up until now, we've been peripatetic, but now that's we've got more permanent premises, we hope to encourage other talented creative practitioners to add to the high quality work on offer.
"Current members have successfully exhibited widely throughout the region as a group or as individuals in a variety of galleries, art weeks and competitions and are committed to further enhancing the Ledbury experience for locals and visitors alike."
He said that Artistree is grateful to Ledbury Civic Society for allowing them to use the space.
The Gallery, which is open from Thursdays to Sundays, is staffed by the co-op's own member, giving visitors a chance to discuss their work. Artistree is also hoping to involve young people in artistic endeavours and in the local artistic community.
