VOLUNTEERS taking disabled people to the top of the Worcestershire Beacon now have high-visibility tabards to wear, thanks to

Colwall Rotary Club.

Jamboree, which runs Cafe H2O at the Wyche Innovation Centre, recently bought a Tramper mobility scooter to give disabled people the opportunity to visit the Malvern Hill, in cooperation with Colwall Rotary, WestFest and the management of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Jamboree is an established local co-operative of adults with learning disabilities. The cafe gives members an opportunity to prepare and serve fresh food, interact with the customers, and share in the profits.

Tony Brook of Colwall Rotary said: “This project allowing disabled people to access the hills is one we felt very important to help get off the ground.”
