THREE artists are exhibiting in the Studio Space at the Trumpet Corner Tearooms near Ledbury this July, and throughout August.

The artists are Gill Thompson, Jenny Pearce and Claire Billingsley, and the tearooms will be open daily, except Wednesdays, between 10.30am and 4pm, and 11am until 3pm on Sundays.

A spokesman said: "Gill Thompson uses two dimensional mixed media, including paint, lino, collagraph and etching. Her work is influenced by the landscape and nature and reflects the shapes and textures of the light and shade that she observes around her.

"Jenny Pearce is an established basket maker, using mostly unstripped willow. Her contemporary designs are rooted in Celtic and English regional styles. In addition Jenny teaches basket making and successfully runs courses throughout the year."

The spokesman added: "Claire Billingsley works predominately in clay, but she also has a passion for drawing and painting. Form and colour dominates her work which is inspired by nature and her love of art history. She also runs courses throughout the year in both ceramics and painting.

"The three artists work complements one another and the overall effect of the work in the light and spacious studio is a joy to behold and definitely worth a visit."
