LEDBURY Primary youngsters helped to launch the Ledbury Bench Poetry Trail this week.
The trail is a new feature of the Ledbury Poetry Festival and the youngsters encouraged visitors to take "a walk with a difference".
Starting at the Market House on Tuesday, July 5, the pupils led people on a guided tour around the town and performed poetry at various benches along the way.
A school spokesman said: "This event was the culmination of an exciting and unusual project with poet Sara-Jane Arbury and Mark Sanderson from Herefordshire Computing Support.
"The children created poems inspired by selected benches and explored ways of linking Values with their local environment. They then
worked on innovative performance techniques and filmed the outcome."
The spokesman added: "You can view their work online through the quick response codes on
the benches, via the project website at
www.ledburybenches.wordpress.com".
