REPORTS have come in of a police presence near the Verzon House Hotel, on the A438 Ledbury to Hereford road.

At least two police cars and possibly a forensics van were reported by local people to be in the area at around 3pm this afternoon.

At least one police car was reported to be still on site by 4.45pm.

West Mercia Police has been contacted but at the time of this post, no reason has been given regarding the reported police presence, with apparently no incident officially logged for that area at that time.

This remains the police position.

It is possible that some police vehicles were grouping there on route to an incident at Tillington, to the north of Hereford; but this has not been confirmed.
