THE TURNOUT for the EU referendum vote in Ledbury was on line to be large, with outdoor queues being reported at several stations.
Initial reports seemed to indicate the opposite, with not too many early bird voters being reported during the opening hours, at the polling stations of St Katherine's Hall, Ledbury Community Hall and Ledbury Primary School.
But by 9.30am, there was a 15 minute queue at the Catholic Church, in New Street.
And town mayor, Cllr Debbie Baker, speaking shortly before noon, said she had been to the Community Centre, at Lawnside, where around 15 people or more were actually queueing up outside, before voting.
Cllr Baker said: "I think it's going to be a good turnout."
